PURPLE UNDERGROUND

On fire

Created by the dancer and artistic collaborator of the Crazy Horse, Patricia Folly alias Psykko Tico, “Purple Underground” is a magnificently executed dance number.

Five goddesses with perfect bodies literally set the stage on fire in an electrifying choreography performed on the famous Thonet chairs, in Crazy Horse lights for the occasion.

Music by Mirwais

The tension mounts during the scene. The dancers twirl to music subtly orchestrated by the famous electronic music composer Mirwais.

Its rhythm pushes the dancers on stage to deliver the most glamorous and exhilarating performances.

Dressed in light

During this intense and sensual number, the Crazy Girls highlight the beautiful curves of their bodies dressed in nothing more than lighting effects created by the stage management team of the famous Parisian cabaret.

Their red high-heeled shoes are creations by the famous shoemaker of the stars, the ineluctable Christian Louboutin, first Guest Creator of the Crazy Horse Paris.

And iconic scene

“Purple Underground” is part of the iconic scenes of the Crazy Horse.

Originally part of the touring show “Forever Crazy”, artistic direction by the Canadian Dick Walsh en 2010, “Purple Underground” was presented for the first time son the legendary stage of the Crazy Horse in Paris, in the show “Feu”, created by Christian Louboutin in 2012, which was also included in the 3D capture of this show, released in movie theaters in 2012..

A nod the america of the 60's

The name of this scene is a nod to the legendary American rock band The Velvet Underground, formed in New York in the mid-1960s and linked to the adventure of the Factory of Andy Warhol, a leading figure of American Pop Art, who produced them.

The 60s marked a turning point indeed for the Crazy Horse, which draws from many of the artistic trends of the time and especially from Pop Art.rtistiques de l’époque et en particulier du Pop Art.
